I've been feeding our 2 German Shepherds Kirkland Signature (Chicken, Rice & Veggie formula) for about a yr now, but recently switched to Kirkland Nature'due south Domain, thinking it would be better. Our male is on the Salmon Meal & Sweet Potato (Blue Pocketbook) & our female is on the Turkey Meal & Sweet Potato (Red Purse). I did a gradual switch so they wouldn't get sick and everything seemed fine for the 1st week. Last dark our male refused to eat, which is extremely odd for him b/c he usually gobbles his food. He was also reluctant to swallow this morning time, but he finally did. Our female was reluctant concluding nighttime, but ate hers. This morning I had to have her to the vet b/c she was vomiting, drooling, warm to the impact & lethargic. The vet is running blood work as I type & said she yelped in pain when she palpated her stomach, pancreas surface area. Our female is very stoic, not much bothers her, so when she yelps, she is hurting. I'1000 not sure if it is the food at this signal, only after reading all the reviews, I'm starting to wonder. The vet wants to try a bland diet for a few days to see if her symptoms go away. If they do then I will be shopping for a new make of canis familiaris food!

I have one large brood who has had eating issues for several years, cost me a fortune at the vet when he began vomiting, bloody diarrhea, dry heaves. Vet said helicobacter infection. Yeah...that was $3000 in unnecessary vet bills, pretty sure it wasn't helicobacter. My terrier can pretty much eat annihilation it seems - except Kirkland brand canned food. Both dogs get the runs & ill from that stuff. I switched them to Kirkland's Nature'due south recipe (name?) of which in that location are iii varieties. I merely feed them the beef & rice, yellow sack. I thought this was supposed to exist a premium kibble? Lately I've noticed $.25 of their leftover kibble had red in it. I noticed that when I threw the leftover kibble in the plastic trash bags, the numberless plow red! I am admittedly outraged at this! Scarlet dye isn't skillful for humans, why are they putting this crap in dog food?? I am really disappointed and am going to permit Costco know. Won't be buying this brand anymore, either.

I accept a female Golden Retriever, Riley, approximately 70-75 lbs. who is feed an ultra-premium brand dry nutrient--no fillers, no corn, no..."emulsified" anything. My brother'south dog, Luke, is a male lxxx-85 lb. Golden Retriever who is free-fed this nutrient because of the low price. When I care for Luke, his stool is always very stake, wet (besides soft to choice or scoop upward--think cottage cheese), and smells similar a rotting slice of roadkill. The closest smell I tin can describe is day one-time gut buckets after quartering up a deer. We feed Luke our premium make while caring for him. After ii-3 days, his stool always turns brown, firms upward, and stops stinking so badly. He also devours as much as we give him immediately and appears like he would continue to eat more if given it. Later returning Luke to my brother, his stool ever reverts dorsum to stake diarrhea. This cycle repeats every fourth dimension we have the opportunity to feed him our brand.

We were told past our vet that he feeds his Rottweilers and have been using all the brands for many years. He does his own testing on their blood and has been normal. At the vets recommendation, we put our big dogs on it and they take been through 2 35lb bags of it and LOVE it, fifty-fifty my choosy eater. They accept way more than free energy, lost weight and take had or shown no signs of sickness.

My dog Brandy got really sick, started salivating, Vomiting, staggering, diarrhea. Nosotros had taken her to vet terminal Monday thinking maybe she got into something in garbage! They kept her overnight, gave her fluids and anti-nausea medicine! She recovered overnight! They switched her to a special low fat food! He improved profoundly! Same peppy domestic dog! Then the vet said we could reintroduce a little Kirkland food! That dark she started salivating again! Vomiting. It was 3 am in morning and she couldn't fifty-fifty move her legs at all! The merely thing she had had was Kirkland Rice and Craven from under active dogs! :( I unfortunately don't think this time she coming home from vet! I would not fed this food to whatever animal!

Kirkland Adult Dog Food -- Rice and lamb BAD BAD BAD. Our two Shih Tzus take eaten this domestic dog food for about a year. Nosotros read information technology had high ratings. Three weeks agone with a new bag nosotros woke up to a diarrhea and vomit mess. We thought maybe they got into something in the backyard. Side by side twenty-four hour period - aforementioned thing. We thought perhaps new treats and stopped those. I of our Shih Tzus Skittles seemed worse - bloody loose stool. My daughter's domestic dog (Morkie) came to spend the nighttime and he was sick the next 24-hour interval. We were going to telephone call the vet when we noticed they stopped eating their food completely. IT WAS THE FOOD! We are lucky it merely took two weeks to figure it out and they are fine. Some people take heartbreaking stories on this blog. We returned the bag - almost full and no problem was given with refund. We will never buy that make over again.

We've been using Kirkland canned Beef and Chicken for over 4 years for our three small dogs. They beloved the food, never miss a meal and get excited when nosotros call out dinner time!!! Our dogs are healthy, happy, energetic members of our family unit and I would never consider changing their nutrient unless a chronic illness required it. If ever the food was discontinued and replaced past another Kirkland make canned food, I would not hesitate trying it for my dogs. Thanks Kirkland.

Nosotros accept been feeding our dogs Kirkland salmon based diet for about 4 years. Three years ago, our nine year old lab/mastiff was diagnosed with cancer. He had surgery and radiation treatment, but died within a twelvemonth. Ii years ago, our vii year old gilt retriever of a sudden complanate and was diagnosed with cancer and died. Last Friday, our ten year quondam German language shepherd was diagnosed with abdominal cancer, and had such a hard weekend. We had the vet come to our home, and give her peace and her angel wings. How is it possible for three dogs to dice within three years? All of cancer? The only common denominator is Kirkland salmon based dry dog nutrient. I have all of their medical records. Someone needs to contact me.

We went to Costco to purchase lAMS domestic dog food (as usual) for our 10 year old Onetime English Sheepdog and they were out, then we purchased the store brand (Kirkland Chicken, Rice & Egg formula). Sophie ate information technology for a couple of days with no effect. Then the problem started - really bad diarrhea. Nosotros actually didn't think it was the food because things were OK for the starting time couple of days, thought maybe she got into something out dorsum. It lasted for 2 days and then she died. Please do not buy and feed this food to your dog. I wish I could turn dorsum time.

I've been buying the Kirkland kibble adult domestic dog food for my three Shih Tzus for the by 3 years. I also buy the canned wet dog food of the same brand and mix them together and feed it to my dogs. Just my dogs are sick, really ill... There is blood in their stool and they accept not stopped vomiting all day. It started not and then bad and I thought I would accept them to meet the vet tomorrow merely, now is then scary that I am calling a 24 hour vet to come up to my house. I am SERIOUSLY CONCERNED about the health of my dogs and of other dogs who are consuming this batch of kibble and moisture dog food; I purchased mine in the last week of July 2014 in California.

I have a 2 1/2 year sometime pure bred Golden Retriever who I usually feed Iams Dog food to and she has been fine with that food but recently I went to Costco to buy her food (as I had gotten Iams there before) and they did not have the Iams. Well I was reluctant but was out of nutrient and didn't want to have to go to another store so I checked the ingredients on the Developed Superior food and the first ingredient was craven and not corn-repast or by-production then I idea it may be okay. She was eating it for nigh 2-3 weeks when one mean solar day, she started interim lethargic and run downward. She was besides running a fever.
And so I took her to the vet and information technology turns out her liver count was really high and her blood platelets were really low. The vet was very concerned and thought she had eaten something she shouldn't take or gotten exposed to Lyme illness. I explained to her that she was only in our own backyard which she has been in for the past 2 yrs and nothing has changed and considering the weather had been very warm (we are in Phx), I hadn't even taken her out for walks much and definitely had not taken her anywhere where she couldn't been bitten by a tick. Besides I pet this canis familiaris a lot...she's my babe, and I think I would've felt if she had a tick on her.
Anyway, she ran all the tests, even testing her for valley fever (which is a disease you can arrive AZ just did non know dogs could get it). She was put on steroids, antibiotics and some pills for her liver and all tests came dorsum negative. We couldn't figure out what had made her then ill and then it occurred to me that I had recently started feeding her this Kirkland dog food and I had heard about problems with their treats! I immediately stopped her off this food!
Thankfully she has fabricated a complete recovery but I am NEVER feeding my domestic dog the Kirkland make nutrient again. When I took the bag of leftover food back to Costco and explained to the guy what happened, he was surprised. Said they had not had any bug with that food... Well yet equally far as I'm concerned, although I've seen lots of stories on the internet almost people who had dogs get suddenly sick after eating this food. I am so thankful that my canis familiaris was okay and that her vet was so thorough.

I bought a large bag of Kirkland Dog food for my 2 Belgian Shepherd Malinois. They are a large breed. These dogs are always hungry and at times I grab them eating cow paddies. They pass up to consume this canis familiaris food, they would rather become hungry. I decided to wait it out and after ii days i of the dogs ate a bowl total and got sick right afterwards - I have pics. So what in the hell is going on here? These dogs cost $5000 each. I was not looking for a inexpensive make of food and just picked up a bag because of convenience.

I have been feeding Kirkland domestic dog food for over ten years. I actually joined Costco just for the dog nutrient. It was always rated so high, and it was a skillful price, and when feeding 6 Not bad Danes, you need to be getting the most for your money. Recently my dogs have stopped being excited virtually their food. I am feeding the "gray purse" of dry out food. If I don't doc it upwards, they won't eat information technology at all. They leave some in their bowls and are not interested in cleaning upwardly the floor or their bowls as they have e'er been in the past. I am now suspicious that they are getting their food from China and information technology is inferior food. I will be researching a new food.

He had diarrhea all over the place one day. I cutting back on his amount of food. Now he'south not wanting to eat all together. Another dog ate his food yesterday and had soft stool. Maybe it's a bad batch?

Was so happy to find what I thought was an first-class dry dog food. When you read the list of ingredients, it sounds wonderful and the cost is great. Within a month, my Australian shepherd collie starting losing his hair in clumps. I accept thrown away the dog food and put him back on his regular stuff, only I am still dealing with massive hair loss. Atrocious!
Then I was excited about the cat food. Reasonably priced and the cats seemed to really similar it. Now my tortoiseshell long hair beautiful Bailey is throwing up constantly and she has crystals and leakage around her eyes. Her fur is dull and looks like she is ten years older than she really is. Scary, scary. What is in their products??? I trust Kirkland for all the food I eat as an adult human existence. I am now scared because if this is what their products are doing to my animals, what is Kirkland doing to me??

Very scary, the very like experiences I continue reading about. I but switched to another dog food. All these dogs having similar symptoms subsequently eating this brand. The symptoms are all those associated with arsenic poisoning: thirst, drooling, vomiting, staggering, intense abdominal pain, cramps, diarrhea, lethargy, exhaustion. Unfortunately rice contains arsenic, and so does chicken (if you lot don't already know this, please google this for more information). Only recently did the FDA ban 3 of the arsenic drugs that are given to chickens. As far as I know, there is still ane that is currently not banned. I know, yuck. (But as an aside, there is likewise arsenic in apple juice). If anyone has a domestic dog starting to show these symptoms, switch to another food IMMEDIATELY!! Yous will probable exist saving your domestic dog's life!!

Started feeding this food (red pocketbook) approx six months ago. Initially both of my dogs loved this food. In early May I opened a new bag and my shepherd/pit mix acted like she no longer cared for it. She did swallow when she was hungry enough only so began having terrible gas (and then loud that information technology actually woke me up). Then the diarrhea and vomiting started. Took her to my vet. He suggested bland diet and antibiotics. The vomiting has mostly stopped but still diarrhea off and on. Now the aforementioned problem with the Chihuahua and both are grazing on grass like cattle. Afterward reading from others I likewise will discontinue feeding Kirklands.

I have been using both the mature and chicken and rice formulas for my 2 greyhounds for many years. Now they won't eat and have runny stools no matter what I do. Only thing I can do is alter their food. I volition be taking the nutrient I have left back to Costco for a refund. I noticed on a website where Kirkland dog nutrient has "possible salmonella contamination". Not good.

Our thirteen yr old Husky/wolf has had horrible gas. We are considering a tertiary dog Groovy Dane/Newfie 6pm month former puppies. I remember before we buy Kirkland puppy food, I'g gonna switch brands!

Nosotros take been feeding our dog Kirkland Brand dog food for almost 6 years now - chicken and rice - and he is exhibiting the same symptoms as previous consumers have indicated - gas, diarrhea, non finishing his meal, etc. Vet recommended a few days of a bland diet and so we'll see how he is by next week. I can hear the gas in his stomach although he doesn't seem to be bothered by it much but we are!!! He will consume his treats just won't impact his food. Something must be upwardly with Kirkland dog food - a change in the mode they make it, primal ingredients, the manufacturer? Does anyone know where is it manufactured? Anyone else??

We are a reputable breed dog rescue and have been using Kirkland Lamb, Rice, and Vegetable as well as the Kirkland Natural Domain Grain Free Turkey Repast and Sweetness Potato dog foods for years with no problems. We as well supplement with the raw meaty bones diet and have no bug. We did try the Chicken, Rice, and Vegetable formula years agone because it was the least expensive. However, it did make several dogs vomit and then nosotros stayed away from it and never had whatever problems. The ingredients of their food are comparable to top brands, yet, at a more than reasonable price. For example, the lamb food is a 40-lb purse and costs $28.99 plus revenue enhancement. Kirkland is known for taking top brand items, testing it themselves nether strict rules, and then private labeling it under their own proper name. We love this food.

Nosotros have two dogs and have been feeding our dogs Kirkland adult food for years. We bought a bag of puppy nutrient Kirkland brand during our concluding trip to Costco at beginning of June. Nosotros had fed them the food for 10 days. We so noticed our dogs became very..wouldn't eat or drinkable, vomiting, drooling, panting heavily and
diarrhea. We called our local Costco to inquire if there were any recalls or other complaints. The store manager told u.s. there were no recalls or bug both times I spoke with him. We ended upwards taking both dogs to the vet and they both are currently receiving Iv fluids and antibiotics and probiotics for bacteria institute in their stomach. They were both severely dehydrated.
I called Costco again today and told them the situation. The managing director said I could come up to the store and file a merits then that Costco's insurance company would pay our vet bills. I feel and then bad that my dogs had to endure this and to detect out so many more are suffering is so extremely lamentable. Costco prides themselves on quality. In my volume they receive an F on this production. And to read that pets have died from this is even more saddening.

I switched my dog to Kirkland brand Weight Control from Costco as she is older and overweight. I slowly switched from their Lamb & Rice formula and she gobbled it up. Within a week she was refusing food, vomiting, drooling excessively, and panting. I Googled these symptoms and came up with a effect of the dog had eaten something toxic. I immediately cut out this food, switched to Purina One and it took about ten days, only she has her appetite dorsum, has stopped salivating/vomiting and is a much happier domestic dog. Something is not right with the Kirkland make. Don't feed it to your pets.

The Super Premium Developed Canis familiaris food chicken and rice cause my Crimson Heeler to throw up after she eats. She can swallow the Nature's Domain but when I feed her this, she throws it up - strange. Thinking back... I had the same consequence with my other dog when I last bought this food. He had to spend the night at the vet in urgent intendance because he threw upwards every twenty-four hour period for three days and was dehydrated.

2 weeks ago, we purchased Kirkland Mature Dog Formula at Costco because our usual dog food (Pedigree) was not bachelor. Ever since our dog started eating this food, he has vomited everyday for 2 weeks. We are going to the Vet this week to get him checked out, but since yesterday we have thrown out this food and started him on a bland nutrition. After reading some of the other peoples' experiences with this food and what we have noticed with our ain dog, I would highly recommend not ownership Kirkland dog food if you beloved your dog.

Terminal year when my big Newfoundland got very ill with a bacteria in his intestines, the Vet told me not to buy ANY treats or food made in China and I thought I did equally I Practise Non purchase whatsoever dog kibble simply Canidae All Life Stages. I have been buying Kirkland Dog Biscuits, Dental Chews and Chicken treats supposedly not made in China. Today and last nighttime, there are recalls on the craven treats Cadet brand and I have called the other two treat companies for Hasty Treats and Annie'southward Treats and been reassured they practise non apply any products from Prc and are Us made. Both my Newfoundlands are having symptoms from the online owners of dogs who take died or are seriously sick due to the chicken and duck treats past Cadet and I am removing the ones I accept left from them and waiting for my vet to call me to discuss the need to be seen.
Last yr, my big boy was seriously sick with gastrointestinal bacteria and it took 2 months for him to recover and he still has never gotten a house stool back. I had not stopped buying Cadet chicken treats and started cooking most all additions to their diets except Costco products. As of today, I volition not use anything other than the biscuits and dental basic and the Jerky from Jerky Treats if those. To see my pets ill due to the products sold in the USA is very disheartening and frightening. We may all take to go to preparing fresh foods for them and ourselves and we pretty much do that except we do non ever purchase organic every bit I believe that is a smoking mirror for some large corporate farms.
